It was a great day on Saturday. I am able to donate around $4000 to the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.




I want to thank everyone who helped me out at the show. My sponsors, the companies that donated, the vendors that donated a portion of their proceeds, and everyone who showed up!

It is amazing to see everyone there, and having a good time.
I was able to donate $4200 this year, which is more than double last year! You all are amazing, and I'm so glad to be a part of the VW scene.

Thanks again, and next year is #5...it is going to be awesome!

The Shop Autowerx, LLC

Jake just confirmed that The Shop Autowerx LLC will be in attendence stamping europlates on Saturday. They'll have special pink plates, and they're planning on donating 100% from the sale of the pink plates to Dub N Rub!!
There is a limited supply of pink plates, so make sure to get there early!!
The pink plates have a 10 character limit, and the text is black.

They'll also be stamping the europlates with the country mark on them, and those have a 9 character limit.

Stop by and update your europlate with one from The Shop Autowerx!!

Please Note

VENDORS:  A reminder, to vend it is $15 donation. I would like you to be there by 8am, if possible. If you get there after it is not a problem, I'm just trying to get you all set up before the show field opens!  My only request is that you contribute a percentage of what you make there to the show.  We're raising money for the American Cancer Society, and when I donate the money to them I'll make sure that what you donate from your profits will be donated in your business' name! 

CAMPERS:  Camping is available Saturday night into Sunday for $33. You can pay me cash on Saturday, or you can paypal me the money this week. Please PayPal the money as a 'gift' to sbutz01@yahoo.com

TO EVERYONE ATTENDING:  Spectators are $1 donation, and to Register it is $10.  Goodie bags are available when you register and are on a limited first come basis! Show field opens at 9am.  The Finish Line Pub will be open at 9am as well, and will have food and refreshments.  If you show your pink Dub N Rub bracelet when you register, you will receive a free soda and a bag of chips.  Raffle tickets will be sold, and a silent auction will be going on as well for some pretty cool items!

Vision Auto Group, HE Performance, 4 Ever Kustoms, Poor Man Designs and Old City Oil Drippers will be on hand as well! 

If you drop any items off at the 4 Ever Kustoms booth on Saturday, they will donate a portion of their proceeds to Dub N Rub.

Poor Man Designs will have a select pink collection just for Dub N Rub.

OCOD will have a few items of interest they made just for Dub N Rub as well.

I also believe that The Shop Autowerx LLC will be in attendence stamping europlates that day as well.  They'll have special pink plates, and they're planning on donating money from the sale of the pink plates to Dub N Rub!!

Updates

It has been awhile since I updated the blog, but things are progressing nicely. The items for the raffle and silent auction are steadily coming in.

Just to remind everyone:
-Registration opens at 9am and closes at noon.  It is $10.
-Spectators are $1, and children under 12 are free.
-The resteraunt will be open a 9am and will be serving food.
-The show is open to all AIR and WATER cooled VW and all AUDI's!

Camping is available for $33 from Saturday after the show into Sunday.

T-shirts and stickers will be for sale as well, and all the proceeds raised will go to the American Cancer Society's Making Strides against breast cancer walk!!

Josh and I chatted a little bit today, and I think that he is going to create a few pink shirts with the DnR logo and driveuro logo. He is going to sell them at the show, and donate a portion of the proceeds to the show.  Keep an eye out, and grab yourself a shirt!

4Ever Kustoms group buy

I spoke with Jason Diem from 4Ever Kustoms last night, and he wanted to let everyone know that if you bring items to Dub n Rub that need to be powder coated, he will donate a portion to the Making Strides Walk!  Jason will have his book of powdercoat colors with him at the show so look for his stand, and spruce up your ride.

Also, prior to Dub n Rub 4Ever Kustoms will have a group buy on powder coating items PINK!   Drop off your items at LEAST three weeks before the show in order to get them back in time to throw your hat into the ring for Most Supportive!!!!

Updates on the show

So much is going on with Dub N Rub. The advertising postcards should be done this week, and as long as the weather holds I will be at Spring Show N Go.

Tomorrow I am going around and picking up donations, and attempting to solicite more donations!

Ted's Bar & Grill on 22 in Harrisburg is donating coupons and gift certificates!  Pepsi and Frito Lay are donating items, Hells Bells Kustoms donated some shirts, buttons and bottle openers.

I'm trying to get a hold of Reese's Big Cups to put in the goodie bags.

I have a free alignment from Shelly's in Manheim to auction off!

ShedPress, Klutch, Outline Sports, Renegade VW, Underground Motorsports, NGP Racing, theSamba, Nothing Leaves Stock, and Counter Kultur are all donating items as well!

Inner Beauty

I wanted to post up the front of one of the 5 postcards that will be printed for advertising for Dub N Rub 2011!  There are 4 other cars all depicting different classes: Saggies, Perkiest, Topless, Inner Beauty and All Natural. The shows I (or my friends) will be at in April are Spring Show N Go, Dustoff and Volksfest! Look for us, we'll be looking for you!!

Orchid Euro

Last week I spoke with Jamie from Orchid Euro and he is very excited to help out!  We talked about it, and he will be bringing some cool stuff and setting up a vendor's spot at Dub n Rub.  He said that if you order something from Orchid prior to the show, and want to pick it up at Maple Grove park/campground he has no problems bringing your items!

Keep an eye out on the raffle and/or silent auction for some Orchid Euro items!

Dub N Rub: saving ta-ta's since 2008

It's been a great 2011 so far for Dub N Rub. HE Performance, Vision Auto Group and 4Ever Kustoms are sponsoring the show. 
-Old City Oil Drippers are donating a bunch of items to the show including stickers, beanies and other items! 
-DJ Dirty Dave is donating his time again this year (here's hoping he remembers his table)!
-Mike from Hells Bells Customs will be bringing his pin striping kit along to the show!
-Underground Motorsports will be there again this year!
-Counter Kultur will be there again!
-Poor Man Designs is kicking it with us, and they'll have their usual fair of stickers as well as boobie friendly ones.  Proceeds from those special stickers/accessories will go to the walk!
-Lost Dog Photos is donating their time to take pictures of a few cars for the advertising post cards.  The shoot is happening this Sunday, and I cannot wait to see how the day goes!

Remember the show is for a good cause, but also it's a chance to hang out with friends, meet new people and see some pretty excellent cars!

It's only February, but June is just around the corner.

HE Performance and Vision Auto Group~IN!

All kinds of BIG NEWS and new items on the agenda regarding Dub N Rub 2011.

First off, HE Performance and Vision Auto Group will be sponsoring the show with OCOD and 4Ever Kustoms!

Maple Grove Campground contacted me, and the show is officially there on June 18th.

Camping is available again this year, and pre-registration will be new for this year as well!

There is going to be a new category as well for 'Implants,' for all those with spectacular engine skills. Do you have a VRT? Let us see what you've done!

Dub N Rub 2011 is getting geared up

Good morning and Happy New Year!

2011 is off to a good start with 4Ever Kustoms and Old City Oil Drippers throwing their hats into the sponsorship of Dub N Rub 2011!
It's pretty exciting here in my new apartment, getting organized and ready for show season. I have a few other companies interested in possibily having a bigger participation this year as well.
Outline Sport has joined Dub N Rub this year, and is donating shirts for the raffle. They have a great shipping rate of $6.50 regardless of how many items you purchase, and a wide variety of shirts and hoodies for everyone from the air cooled to the MK6 crew.
