The must have's of a show
I am not your mom, and I really do not want to be an enforcer so I would like to remind everyone attending that this is a family show. We support boobies, and I want you to have fun but more like PG-13 fun and less NC17. Meaning, no wet t-shirt contests. I don't want to see your nipples ladies, I know that the guys wouldn't mind...but the 4 year's parents usually do.
I am not policing your language, your music or your attitude unless I have to. And, if the Staff comes up to you and asks you to turn it down please do so. Last year we had some people asked to leave and I do not want to have to do that again this year.
Burn Outs are not allowed and should not be encouraged. Throwing glass bottles at/towards/near cars is never acceptable, and will result in an immediate ejection.
Canopies are allowed (be conscious of space),
if you are 21 you can have alcohol (don't be a jerk),
dogs are permitted (you must clean up after them),
no camping either before or after the show at Maple Grove Park and Campground,
the show raises money for the American Cancer Society~it is not a boobie show,
if you are not the driver of the show car you will be asked to pay $1,
no grilling permitted~ NONE,
pick up your trash,
no burnouts,
no ripping up the grass doing donuts or being an asshat in general,
police yourselves~ you know when you're toeing the line,
you cannot sell items next to your cars on the show field ~there just isn't room,
we will cap out at 500 show cars, there are 100 t-shirts and goodie bags are there until they are gone! (pre-registered people are guaranteed a goodie bag)
It's a fundraiser show, all the net proceeds are donated to the American Cancer Society.
AND, most importantly it is Sunday and even though I just spouted off a ton of "do not's" I want everyone to come out and have fun.

A few ways your donation helps
Making a Difference in the Capital Area (includes Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties)
the American Cancer Society helped 59 local patients learn how to cope with hair loss and skin changes at one of the Look Good Feel Better classes. The classes are taught by 7 trained, local volunteer cosmetologists. There are 7 local ACS Wig Salons. IN 2012, 1,338 local patients and their families found help from the Society, including 161 under served cancer patients.
That is how the money you donate makes a difference.

By noon, all the registered cars will be on the field. Spectator voting/judging will be on going until 1PM. Spectators can buy a ballot for $1. All registered cars will receive a ballot in their goodie bags (while they last). Winners will be announced by 2pm.

I strongly believe the American Cancer Society needs all the funds we can raise to assist in research, education, community aid and outreach.
Dub N Rub welcomes all air cooled & water cooled VW's, and Audi drivers!
In the spirit of show&shine shows, everyone parks together with no distinct separation.
It is important for me to note that if a driver of a non-VW or Audi is willing to pay the registration donation in order to park with their friends on the field it is allowed. However, ONLY a VW or Audi can win one of the categories.

Happy St Patrick's Day!
Show season is just around the corner with Campbelltown's Dust Off being the first show we are attending. It's a show that exploded into the scene, and is in its 2nd year. They are following in the show & shine footsteps, and having great success. Like many of the new small shows, proceeds from the show are being donated to the fire company. Vendors are welcome, with food being provided by the fire company. Check out their FB events page.

PoOrMan has been doing our advertising since 2009, and they have put a lot of sweat, time and possibly a few tears into supporting us. For printing, logo, branding and print designs you cannot wrong. You can pre-order your shirts now, because there are no guarantees the day of. We have sold out the last 2 years. $15 for S-XL and $18 for 2XL
Vending at the show is available, it is $20 and you can pay the day of. There have been questions about selling items next to your cars on the show field. Please note that we cannot allow this in 2013. Space is very limited on the field and we must be conscious of that this year. Vendors will also be affected by this. A 10x10 space is $20, if you require more than that there will be additional fees. We are growing significantly, and have to make some changes in these areas. Thank you for understanding. Stupid 5tickers
Stupid 5tickers who attended their first Dub N Rub in 2012, contacted us and asked to help out. So, we put them on the task of creating a 2013 show sticker. They gladly jumped on board, and will debuting their creativity on June 2nd at the show. Proceeds from the sale of the decal will be donated to Dub N Rub, so make sure you stop by their vendor spot and pick up a few.

Welcome to 2013
Happy New Year to all you crazy car people! (I use crazy in an affectionate way)
I got car parts for Christmas and cannot wait for show season.
Andy and I got engaged over Christmas, so 2013 will be a crazy mix of car shows, planning the BYOB+B & Dub N Rub and planning a wedding.
We have started gathering sponsors, and working up ideas for advertising. PoOrMan Designs has been working on a VW Pin Up style calendar, and their photography business is booming.
The VW Store and AP Tuning have jumped on board the sponsor wagon, and will be proudly supporting Dub N Rub in 2013.
Dub n Rub supports local businesses and shops in and around Central Pennsylvania, and we encourage you to support them.

Hectic Pace
It's been so hectic the last few months, and I'm afraid that the blog has suffered. I have been keeping up with Facebook and the website Dub N Rub. If you want to catch up on what is happening I'd recommend checking in on either of those sites.
I have been putting on Dub N Rub for 5 years now, and each year gets bigger and more successful than the last. This has been a most amazing journey for me, and I am pleased to see the enthusiasm that the VW/Audi crowd generates for this cause. This year I hosted a BYOB+B, Flocked for a Cure, and Dub N Rub all geared to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
There have been many ups and downs in my personal life through the years, and while I try to not let it affect the show I usually can tell when I have been pulled in too many directions. The last two years have been hard with the loss of my father and most recently his mother, both due to lung cancer.
When my father was diagnosed with lung cancer two years ago, I decided to join the Relay For Life. The Relay is a 24 hour campaign held by the American Cancer Society to raise money and awareness for all cancers. With the loss of my grandmother (a hugely influential touchstone in my life), I believe that I am going to focus more on the Relay. This does not mean that Dub N Rub will be done with, there may be less emphasis on boobies in my campaigns and more on cancer prevention in general.
The American Cancer Society has many wonderful programs designed to help not only those diagnosed with cancer, but their families as well: Look Good Feel Better, the Hope Lodge, Road to Recovery, TLC, Reach to Recovery, Man to Man, and I Can Cope are just a few of the programs offered by the American Cancer Society.
I have gotten to meet so many wonderful people due to the show, and I am blessed to have such great friends and family to help me muddle through the downs as well as celebrate the ups. I try to let you all know how grateful I am to each of you for the contributions and support, but just in case I haven't been clear

June 3, 2012: 5th year of Dub n Rub
Year #5, and I'm setting the bar pretty high.
I've confirmed that the show will be June 3, 2012 at the Maple Grove Park/Campground in Mohnton, PA. Registration will open at 8:30am with awards being presented at 2pm.
A Sunday show will open up doors to more people and sponsors. The show is growing bigger and bigger each year, and hopefully these changes will be for the good of the show.
Old City Oil Drippers present Dripfest the first Saturday of June, and with Dub N Rub being the next day we are going to work together to have a VW fun filled weekend!!

$4200 donated
It was a great day on Saturday. I am able to donate around $4000 to the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.
I want to thank everyone who helped me out at the show. My sponsors, the companies that donated, the vendors that donated a portion of their proceeds, and everyone who showed up!
It is amazing to see everyone there, and having a good time.
I was able to donate $4200 this year, which is more than double last year! You all are amazing, and I'm so glad to be a part of the VW scene.
Thanks again, and next year is #5...it is going to be awesome!

The Shop Autowerx, LLC
Jake just confirmed that The Shop Autowerx LLC will be in attendence stamping europlates on Saturday. They'll have special pink plates, and they're planning on donating 100% from the sale of the pink plates to Dub N Rub!!
There is a limited supply of pink plates, so make sure to get there early!!
The pink plates have a 10 character limit, and the text is black.
They'll also be stamping the europlates with the country mark on them, and those have a 9 character limit.
